ACRL
The Association for College & Research Libraries (ACRL) is the largest division of the American Library Association. We worked together to design the theme for their biennial conference in 2025.
Concepting • Guidelines • Motion Design • Asset Library • Asset Production

ACRL's 2025 conference theme — Democratizing Knowledge, Access, and Opportunities — called for a visual language that felt optimistic and forward-moving. We explored several directions before landing on a system built around icons of pathways and doors, with a "Prince" purple accent as a nod to Minneapolis, the host city. The modular design system was flexible enough to stretch across a multi-format event at a sprawling convention center while remaining recognizable.

We developed the foundational assets: a graphic library, template layouts, animated website graphics, animated event signage, and a guidelines document to align the broad team of creators and producers working across every phase. The design system was rolled out across the event spaces, presentations, displays, handouts, apparel — turning a theme into a cohesive, unifying experience for attendees.

“MOD took our conference theme and translated it into a visual identity that was both dynamic and eye-catching. We were so pleased with the overall look and the usability of the entire design!”
